Laura Margolis, Ph.D. joined the Center in 1997. She is a licensed psychologist with over 25 years post-doctoral practice experience. She is a skilled general clinical and pediatric neuropsychologist with special expertise in the treatment of pervasive developmental disorders, learning and attention deficit disorders, and mood and anxiety disorders. She provides individual, group, and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults.

Dr. Margolis completed her pre-doctoral internship at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1991 and graduated with her doctorate in clinical psychology from The American University in 1992.  She completed a two-year clinical neuropsychology fellowship at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. in 1993.  After her training, she worked for four years as a pediatric neuropsychologist at Children’s National Medical Center and was a faculty member at the George Washington University.  Dr. Margolis is able to provide specialized treatment services for children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental and socialization difficulties.  Her primary therapeutic approach is based on cognitive-behavioral theory and research.
